About Me

Hi everyone! I'm Norma, also known as Pao. I'm currently a third year student at Cal State Fullerton. GO TITANS! My blog is based around my experiences and different styles of photography. I carry my handy dandy, Canon 70D camera everywhere I go incase there's adventure in need of filming or if I ever casually run into Khalid. I've fallen in love with this hobby of mine and I hope I can make you fall in love with it through my eyes..or lens in this case. I hope you enjoy viewing my pictures as much as I love taking and showcasing them.

  • Weddings

Fun Fact! My very first job as a photographer was to shoot a wedding at 16 years old! Although weddings can be stressful, I love being able to capture the moments of love for the happy couple. Who knows? Maybe it'll even help me develop ideas for my own wedding someday.

  • Quinceañeras

A quinceañera is a hispanic tradition that celebrates the transition of a girl to a young lady. My first quinceañera to take pictures of was my little sisters. I've learned that taking pictures a couple weeks prior to the actual party are more fun because it's a relaxed environment for the birthday gal/guy. It gives both of us the time to capture the best shots.

  • Dia de los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos, also known as day of the dead is a hispanic celebration that honors loved ones that passed. This event is memorable to me because it directed me to the picture that helped me realize my true passion. This picture opened many doors for me which is why I will always honor it on my website.

  • iPhonography

With modern technology, such as iPhones, we are all now photographers. It's so convenient to take the pictures, or videos, add some music to it in a slideshow and upload it to social media; all on one device! I like to include my iPhonography to emphasize that you don't need any high quality equipment to get some great shots. Learn your angles, lighting and get to work.

  • Portraits

Portraits are defined as pictures that usually only show the shoulders and above. My personal definition of a portrait is an image that captures a person's true personality and special moments. I find the most fun in taking portraits. I let the person show themselves to the camera as I snap away.

Videos

My photographs allow you to see my life through my eyes. My videos allow me to NARRATE it.

It wasn't until my last year of high school that I found an interest in cinematography. I accidentally enrolled in a video class and planned to switch back to photography until my teacher somehow convinced me to stay. Since high school, i've grown a greater interest in vlogging and making youtube videos and I think I might even love it just as much as photography. I haven't found my content focus just yet, but I'm happy with all of the videos i've made to this day. Someday I hope to dedicate myself a little more to posting daily and going somewhere with my channel.

iBooks Author

For a year, I worked along with other students on a project in which we created a story and partnered with third graders to create the illustrations for it. Once the kids finished their illustrations, we high schoolers brought it to life through animation. Once it was complete. My teacher asked me to create an iBook that explained the process of the project. I worked on the book for another year.It wasn't difficult to do but it was time consuming because there was so much detail that needed to be put into the book.
